Applying Colors

In Scribus, colors are usually applied via the Color and Text tabs in the Properties Palette.

To apply color to your text, highlight the text in the frame, open the Text tab of the Properties palette, and then open the Color & Effects Expander, shown in Figure 5-15.

You can then select a color for your text.

Text colors can also be set from within the Story Editor, as shown in Figure 5-16, although this feature only seems to become activated when shadow text is applied to the text inside the Story Editor. Although the resulting selections will not be displayed in the editor, they will be seen when the layout is updated.
